Hi,
I have sent an email so I apologize if this is considered duplication of your efforts, however, I am concerned about the 24-hour time limit to download the add-ons I just purchased. I followed the directions as indicated in the email, however, when I try to follow the link to: http://www.generatepress.com/knowledgebase/install-activate-addons/ there are no files for me to ‘save as’. instead it is a blank page and the downloads automatically begin downloading in my safari downloads folder, unzipped. I’ve attempted to zip them myself and then add the plug-in from the WordPress dashboard (from plug-ins – upload) but I receive an error message ( I sent the error message in my email).
I purchased the add-on package for $30 using Paypal, the email address that I used to complete the purchase was **** (which receives forwarded emails from ***** – the site which I plan to use the add-on with).
Any help or thoughts on how I can fix this would be appreciated.
p.s. I’ve also tried to add the add-on files directly to the website file directory through the back end, which doesn’t work either.
Thanks,
StacieMay 29, 2015 at 6:39 pm #111314Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
The link in your email is only for 24 hours, but you can go to your account page to download the file whenever you like.
Go to: https://generatepress.com/account
Then click on “View details and downloads”.
You should now be able to right click and save the file as a .zip.
If not, try this:
If a GeneratePress download appears as an ordinary folder instead of a zip file, go to Safari Preferences > General and uncheck “Open ‘safe’ files after downloading”. Then the download will remain a zip file and not be unpacked.

Tom,
thank you, it worked, thank you so much. I never imagined it being a safari issue – I just assumed I did something else incorrectly.
I really appreciate it.

A few suggestions..
Can you make it easier to unsubscribe?
Can you also have a centralized area where the persons comments/posts can be found? (did I miss that?)
I’ve been trying to unsubscribe to a link by following the “breadcrumbs”, but didn’t even know what they area. Found out it’s a trail in the navigation menu. Another suggestion is to not use words like that, as they are specialized. I also could not find any hint of unsubscribing anywhere else except at the bottom for the individual post.
I’d recommend a one click unsubscribe in the link for the posts.
I know that’s what the CASL, Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation says. I don’t think forums are considered spam, but I don’t know.
Anyways, I find this kind of stuff highly annoying. It should be simple. Basic. We’re not developers.May 30, 2015 at 11:04 am #111468Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
I agree, bbPress (this forum software) should make it easier to unsubscribe.
You can always go to your profile to find your topics, replies and subscriptions: http://generatepress.com/forums/users/chairstuff/

I purchased GeneratePress Premium through a personal GP account I created, but would like to use it for a client’s WordPress. I installed, uploaded, and activated the .zip file (‘gp-premium.zip) as a plugin on her WordPress account with no issues. However, I can’t figure out how to activate the add-ons and begin using it now. The ‘Installing add-ons’ guide states that I need to activate which add-ons I’d like to use by going to Appearance > GeneratePress, but there is no ‘GeneratePress’ option under Appearance. What do I need to do to begin using the theme?

Hy,
I’m adding my question here because it’s kind of related to the original topic: Changes of AddOn-csutomizations are not saving on a second website. The short story:
I’ve purchased all addons in Feburary ’15 and installed them on a first website (Super Package – ID #80446). Everything working fine.
Last week I wanted to reuse them for a second, non-proft website: I uploaded them, activated all (shows status ‘activated’ in WP-Plugin-List). All AddOn Licences in my GP-Account show “2 / Unlimited”.
Here is the issue im facing with the second website: Unlike the first website, on the second website AddOns are not listed in Appearance > GeneratePress. I can use all of them in Customizer, but the changes I make won’t save. Hm, I don’t get it.
But I think it’s kind of an licence issue – that’s why: Last week I purchased another AddOn from GeneratePress: Sections AddOn. Uploaded it on the second website, activated it. Unlike the other AddOn everything is working fine. All changes can be saved, it shows up in Appearance > GeneratePress.
Did I miss something? Thanks in advance!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperThat’s weird – it definitely shouldn’t be a licensing issue.
Would you be willing to send me temporary admin login details to support@generatepress.com so I can take a look at what’s happening?
Thanks!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
generatepress.1.3.06.zip is the free theme – not the plugin.
To download your add-on, go to your account page: https://generatepress.com/account
In there you can download the plugin, which you can then upload to your site.
More info here: https://generatepress.com/knowledgebase/install-activate-addons/
