Yoast SEO Schema or Woocommerce Product not saving
9 replies · Started by Alan on October 9, 2022
Hi,
I have been trying to save data of my woocommerce product short description or Yoast Meta Description including Yoast Woocommerce attributes. The product page saves content but does not save meta description for yoast or short description for the topic. Here are the screenshots: https://prnt.sc/bfTCBXSESoZr but when you refresh the page to edit it, the product short description is empty -> https://prnt.sc/2gt2WcXFYRTN , same goes for these attributes: https://prnt.sc/jR7qBT3frSp1
Whatever I write in those fields it does not save.
I keep getting the error like this in my console: .....com/wp-admin/post.php?post=3086&action=edit&meta-box-loader=1&meta-box-loader-nonce=f3b5f3c71e&_locale=user
Hi there,
that kind of error can be for many reasons.
One of the most common is related to browser cache / cookies / extensions.
So lets start there:
1. Disable any extensions on your browser, such as Ad Blockers.
2. Clear ALL cookies and Caches on the browser.
3. Reopen the browser in Incognito / Private mode.
Then retry logging in and saving.
We do not have any caching plugin, I've edited the main post with screenshots, please view. I have also tried to enter data from two different browsers, cleared Cloudflare cache, removed cloudflare cache. Disabled all plugins except for Woocommerce, Rolled back Woocommerce to older versions, including WP, increased PHP VAR and other values. Nothing has worked so far. I am completely frustrated by this.
I've paid for this theme. Do I get any sort of support?
Hi Alan,
We try to respond to issues as fast as we could, hopefully within 24hours on weekdays and 48hours on weekends. Here's what our support includes: https://generatepress.com/what-support-includes/
We provide full support for GP related issues. However, when it comes to third party plugins, we can't.
Currently, I tried viewing the screenshots and they're no longer available. Have you checked your hosting provider if it has Server side caching? If it does, can you try asking them to clear it?
I have cleared all the cache on the server side, it does not have any. On the other hand, I moved the backup to another hosting server, still behaves that way. The screenshots open fine.
Hi Alan,
I found thread with a potentially similar issue. See: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-seo-not-saving-entries/
It was advised there to try disabling plugins for plugin conflict. Can you try #1 here for Yoast?: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/
If that doesn't work, it may be good to reach out to Yoast as well: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/
I have disabled all the plugins before. It still doesn't save, and its not the yoast issue, Woocommerce is also not saving entries. I am using Woobuilder (Pootlepress) Wooblocks to edit single product pages of Woocommerce, When I disable that. It does save entries, however All of our pages are designed with Wooblocks, we cannot remove that plugin.
The steps i provided here:
Were all related to your browser.
ie. deleting browser cookies, clearing browser caches and disabling any browser extensions.
Did you try that ?
