June 30, 2017 at 8:59 am #342046EricFirst off, I want to thank Tom for his excellent work with GeneratePress.
I was running the Extra theme (by ElegantThemes) on my site for the last year, but was getting frustrated by how much bloat it came with, so I started looking around.
I found Elementor and GeneratePress, and the combination allowed me to not only create a better version of my site, but a leaner, cleaner, and blazingly fast version, too!
My current speed scores are: 97/100 Mobile and 99/100 Desktop using PageSpeed Insights and 97 on Pingdom (page size 472kb, load time 567ms (PROOF).
Thanks again, Tom!
June 30, 2017 at 9:33 am #342070DavidHi Tom. Please showcase http://www.bohemianbuddhist.com. I built it for my wife using GP Premium along with the WP plugin Elementor Pro. I really love the design & function the combo gives me, and much more importantly, so do our site visitors. They transpose that love over to Renee’s jewelry, which was our goal.
I couldn’t recommend GP Premium enough.

July 2, 2017 at 4:58 am #342799EdwinCool. I’m just a starting webdesigner and if you guys have some tips or tricks for me, (except for paid plugins cus i can look them up myself:P) it would be realy awesome!
At the moment im implenting the GP Mega Menu but i dont know how to CSS the code to make it float right. I know its a realy simple code but yeah… im a starter..
I wanted to ask it in another topic but lets show my FIRST WEBSITE that need improvements bigtime!Feel Free to CRITICIZE! https://www.thenaturallife.nl
Just know this is just a learning project so i would love some tips^^July 2, 2017 at 10:29 am #342941TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperLooks good! Like the full width style.
The only thing I would adjust is this custom CSS:
.masonry-container > article { margin-bottom: 0px; }
Might be good to add a little breathing room between posts π

I also like the design of the Read More and About Us buttons. How did you create the transparent look of the buttons?
July 5, 2017 at 11:04 pm #344850JohannesHi David,
Thanks for your feedback. Will shove the Amazon button elsewhere π
The Read More button isn’t really transparent. Here’s the CSS for it:
.more_link { -webkit-border-radius: 5px 5px 5px 5px; background: #fff; border: 1px solid #F34213; border-radius: 5px 5px 5px 5px; color: #F34213!important; display: inline-block; font-family: 'Quicksand', sans-serif; font-weight: 600; margin-bottom: 0; margin-top: -20px!important; padding: 10px 20px; text-decoration: none!important } .more_link:hover { background: #F34213; color: #fff!important; text-decoration: none }
You’ll notice some important statements there. Apparently that’s sacrilegious. It makes the button work π
