Couldn't hold off any longer so I rebuilt this site from DWB + BB to GeneratePress/GP Premium + Elementor. Also used was Tom's fantastic plugin WP Show Posts + the WP Show Posts Pro.

As the site says, it's totally pointless, other than to play around with various WP tools ;)

You might consider increasing your sub-menu width a little:

    width: 220px;
}

It will fix the arrow being on a separate line.
