    Hi Tom,

I have an issue with non-linking menu items (href=”#”) which have a submenu. Currently, clicking the menu item does nothing; the down arrow must be clicked to toggle the submenu. However, in tests, visitors often click the menu item expecting the submenu to toggle.

Any tips on making a non-linking menu item toggle its submenu?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Chris,

Our legacy mobile menu plugin will make it so you can click the menu item instead of the arrow: https://wordpress.org/plugins/generate-legacy-mobile-menu/

However, this works the same for all menu items, linked or not.

I do have plans on figuring out a way to do this better for people who don’t want to use the arrows – there’s another user requesting something similar here: http://generatepress.com/forums/topic/submenu-does-not-close-on-parent-second-click-moble/#post-107356

As soon as I have a solution I’ll definitely post it ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the prompt response. The legacy mobile menu plugin totally solves the problem.

    Cheers!
