Hi there,
Working with GP site customizer is becoming an ordeal lately. Earlier it used to crash but somehow I used to ignore that. But today this is just frustrating. I found other posts on this issue and found absolutely no solution.

Someone suggested removing all extensions so I created a new chrome profile for this purpose and the crashes are still rampant. I can't do anything in GP site customizer.

Hi there,

when you say Crash - what happens ? Do you get any errors on the site ?

Hi David, the browser just freezes and I have to close and restart the browser again. And sometimes it gets saved -- maybe autosaved and that's how I work with it. Otherwise, it's not working for me for many many months.

Hi there,

Very strange - we haven't had any other recent reports of this, and I'm not able to replicate it on my end.

I know you tried a new profile, but can you try in Incognito mode to see if the same thing happens?

Does it happen in any other browsers?

Hi
When using Chrome it crashes, no matter what. In Firefox I was able to do my task in one go. Something is buggy in Chrome.

Do you have any Extensions installed on Chrome ( like Ad blockers or other stuff ) ?

Yes.
Not ad blockers, but like Grammarly, onenote, FB pixel helper. So I can't remove them. But the new chrome profile had none.

Right Click and Inspect the site, and click on the Console tab and make sure you have it set to show Errors.
Then open the Customizer, do any errors appear in the console ?

Hi finally I went around to implement this, the issue still persists -- and to the best to my abilities captured what you said... pasting the image here: site issue

Does this issue occur if you activate a Twenty series WP theme to test?

If not then can you disable all plugins, custom functions, and activate the parent theme (if you are using a child theme) and provide the dashboard access for us to test?

As Tom mentioned, we have not had any other reports on this so creating a staging site might help as we will need to do some debugging.

I'm attaching login details. The site doesn't get much traffic (+ backed up) so it's okay if something breaks.

I don't have Twenty series WP theme. Plus, I noticed crashes while picking colors from the color picker.

Can you disable all plugins except GP Premium first?

Also a Twenty series WP theme can be added for free under Appearance > Themes.

Twenty two is installed.
Disabled all plugins except GP Premium.

Still the problem persists.

Hi Mohinish,

To clarify, have you activated Twenty Twenty Two, and tested for the occurrence of the issue with that theme activated?

Can you also try with Twenty Twenty One to be sure?

If the issue exists in both, then the issue is out of our control.

One other thing you can try is to check if this is a device isolated issue by using a different device.

If the issue still exists when using a different device however, the next best thing to do is to reach out to your hosting provider for support.

Hope this helps!
