Wisdom in updating when all is going well?

The present GP website I am working on is http://www.parapometricsinternational.com/. I'm not sure, wnen you ask for "Website" if you mean my main one or the one under consideration.<br><br>
I have version 1.3.12 installed and encouraged to Update to 1.3.14 version of GP. I am in the habit of keeping updates current, but that is not always wise. I learned this in Linux. When using a LTS (Long Term Support) distro, I stay with the LTS release until the new LTS comes out. To do otherwise only costs time.<br><br>
version 1.3.12 is working great. Thanks for all the effort. I bought another "Premium" download instead of a cup of coffee. I don't drink coffee ;)

Updates will generally improve things with your site - whether it's performance or structure.
That being said, it's always good to test them on a staging site if you're worried about it.
