I had to be pretty conservative with this design, but I like it. One thing I’m really happy with that I first thought of on this site: The site needs to develop over time but I wanted to go ahead and put in all the menus and categories. I have just one “coming soon” post that acts as a placeholder where there are no posts yet. I just put it in every category so it would show up. Easy to maintain and easy to get rid of later.

I’ve also developed a new way of styling blockquote. I’m not using it for quotes, just for emphasis, but it just creates a subtle lightening of the background behind a paragraph of text. I like it. 🙂
