Latest Error logs (see in private box)

StaffCustomer SupportI would first begin by checking the PHP Memory Limits and Time Out on the server. Increasing those may help.
Also have you raised the issue with Divi ? As GP sticks to WP coding standards and it there function that is ‘trying’ to do something thats triggering the error.October 24, 2021 at 5:39 am #1973405GeneratePressUser
Hey David,
Limits are perfect, I told divi team they told its all perfect but weird that not loading they have passed it to senior team.
Btw we would like to ask is Elementor better than Divi? Coz even you guys have just Elementor and Bever builder templates, not divi.
This is causing a lot of delay in work, as not able to make theme builder templates, can your team once login and check to resolve it faster?
Also can you offer 1 version older theme to test once.

StaffCustomer SupportI can’t say whether one Page Builder is better then another, that is a personal preference. None of our site builders use Divi or have used Divi so i really can’t comment on it.
If you can provide a login to the site we can take a look.
But as i said the error is stemming from whatever Divi is trying to do.October 24, 2021 at 7:19 am #1973459GeneratePressUser
Hello David,
So, you mean to say you guys have tested with just Elementor and not divi? and things work perfectly fine with Elementor and you are not sure about divi? So, do you guys support divi or not? As far as we know divi is the most popular builder out there and its been there way before Elementor was made. We are using divi since 2013 the time it was made.
I have provided the logins, here is how u check the issue:
Go to theme builder: https://prnt.sc/1x57i5c
There click on add a new template and then Create Template
After that add custom body > build custom body: https://prnt.sc/1x57j8x
Once done then the page keeps on loading like this: https://prnt.sc/1x57kr4

StaffCustomer SupportThats not how we operate. We don’t develop our software around compatibility with plugins. We code to the highest WP standards and stick to using core WP functions, and if other plugins do the same then there should be no reason for an incompatibility issue.
But we haven’t tested Divi as we don’t use it and we never received any ( or very little ) demand for it in our Site Library. We are aware of several users who work with it, and we have had very few support topics relating to that plugin. Most requests i recall have been how to move a Divi site to pure GeneratePress…. so bugs like this have never come up.
If there is something that GP can do to improve its code to support plugins then we will do so, but we try terribly hard to NOT add plugin specific code to our products as this just creates redundant code for most users who don’t require that plugin and leads us into a development cycle that requires us to maintain that code when those plugins update.
RE: the login – it only takes me to the Woo Accounts page, it doesn’t look like it has an Admin role. ie. i can’t access the backed.
As a side note – if you’re using Divi to rebuild the theme then i am not sure what parts GP or GP Premium is required. You may find disabling the Woocommerce module corrects the issue.

Hey David,
Even our goal is to not used tons of plugins, we hate using many plugins coz we have faced issues in past, we are using wordpress since 2013 and have faced all kinds of issues, hence we always code using snippets and all to achieve certain things and avoid plugins.
You can login now and it should work fine, you have admin access now.
You can even see the plugins we have, they are all of high standard and we don’t have any junk plugin with us.
There are 2 industry leading themes in the market GeneratePress & WPAstra.
We have not used Astra but some of our friends use, but we personally like GeneratePress coz speed is our top priority and we can customise things using CSS so we don’t need that much user friendliness of Astra. Since you guys have just under 10kb code and we have used Generatepress I guess since the time it was made.
Divi we are not sure but it lacks certain woocommerce modules, so can you tell if we want to build single product page and align things up down here there. We can do that via Generatepress? Or should we move from Divi to Elementor? Is it possible to make our own Cart page, checkout page etc and control all fields using generate press? like if we want to move the woocommerce billing fields here there or customise the cart page button etc

October 24, 2021 at 8:17 am #1973742GeneratePressUser
Hey David,
Yes, you can do it, also divi has Safe Mode option, if you go in Divi Support page, that will disable plugins just for u.

Hey David,
Yes, sure coz that’s what is weird even divi team told same and they too passed to their senior developer who will be there in week day mostly, so monday.
Coz we know to trouble shoot things and this is really a weird case, never faced ever like this.
Did you try using older version of generatepress? Maybe that solves.

Hey David,
We have a word with divi senior developer and they told this:
Sorry to hear about that fatal error that is preventing the Theme Builder from functioning correctly, it has been identified as a Woocommerce plugin error and the logs show that, see private box.
and they wrote:
There are a few unresolved issues with Woocommerce in our repository however nothing like the one above, as it is not related to our software at all (even though it is blocking DIvi Builder functions).
There was a similar issue reported for Woocommerce here that was resolved long ago:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/22068
I would suggest reinstalling Woocommerce as a first measure, if that does not then contacting their support would be the next step 👍October 24, 2021 at 1:29 pm #1973875GeneratePressUser
Hello David,
They wrote that it’s not an issue on their end, it’s either woocommerce or generate press.
They wrote:
Try finding related issues at both places, either side may be aware of the problem or a solution, however if there is anything else Divi related we would be glad to help anytime 👍October 24, 2021 at 2:23 pm #1973901GeneratePressUser
Hello,
Ok, it seems I found the issue, Woocommerce Recent Review widget is causing that issue with divi, it seems to be conflicting with generatepress, you guys should add recent reviews widget in ur footer widget and then try using divi builder.
I have provided a screen recording in private box.
October 24, 2021 at 2:33 pm #1973905GeneratePressUser
I tried using the same way on a fresh install and different theme and the issue is still there, so this means you guys are totally clear in this and its just caused coz of the widget and I assume that widget is made by woocommerce? So, they need to fix this and not you or divi, correct?
