    Hi!

    Thanks for a great theme!

I’ve searched the forum for this but haven’t found a solution.

When you click on a menu item (top menu) to open the submenu, the submenu gets stuck open, as expected. But if I move the mouse and hover over the next top menu item it’s still open. I have to click outside the first submenu to make it close.

This means that multiple submenues can overlap in a less than perfect way.

I understand this might be as intended, but it annoys my client who is used to opening and closing the submenu by clicking and clicking again (on the top menu item/down arrow), or at least that the first submenu auto-closes if another one is opened. To be honest I would prefer a solution myself.

Is there an easy way of avoiding this?

    Petter

    Hi there,

By default there should only be one submenu opened at one time.

I checked your site and looks like it’s behaving correctly.

Is this not what you are seeing? https://www.screencast.com/t/hWXa5QmitFQ

    Wow, that was fast πŸ™‚

Did you click on any of the top menu items? Because then it gets stuck and will not close until you click outside the menus.

Hmm I see the problem but usually the assumption is that when the hover option is used, users won’t click on the menu item.

Would Click – menu item option be better for you in this case?

Thanks, I’ve presented that option to them.

For future development, it would be super if you could have it both ways, like regular Mac or Windows software handles menus (only one menu at a time can be open, regardless if you’ve hovered or clicked).

    Anyway, thanks for fast response.

    Best,
    Petter

Interesting – definitely something to look into.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
