Hello!
Janice, thank you for your help. Yeap, it’s difficult to solve problem when you can’t to understand what is wrong ๐
First of all i ask my clients about version Chrome, sure. And i received reports from different countries.
BTW, maybe it’s important – i’m using the same font – FIRA SANS
Janice, do you have any new messages about these problems?
February 2, 2015 at 5:55 am #71308Janice DykemanNo, I have not received any new messages from users indicating they are having problems seeing my sites. My hunch is that this was an isolated incident.
I really hope that you can get this sorted out, Aleksei. If you do solve the issue, please post what happened so that other users can learn about it.
February 2, 2015 at 7:05 am #71310AlekseiIssue is still following to me ๐
I received a new report today. It’s a new client, who came on web site the first time (it’s mean that problem is not in cache).
http://pix.my/uhRzPISN – that’s what he see.Windows 7
Chrome with the last virsion and reset settings.
IE & Mazzila – everything is OK, issue is only in Chrome. There are no any special apps in Chrome, only spreadsheets, presentations & google docs.
We tried to find errors here: http://clip2net.com/s/3bEt4Hb
He said “everywere only 200 status ”I dont know what esle i can do….
February 2, 2015 at 10:32 am #71360AndreySame issue. I have just installed and customized the theme. In Maxthon browser everything shows, but in Chrome on both my computer and my friend’s computer (and in screenshots of various page rendering checking services) the menu bar doesn’t show. I only shows a blue triangle for the falling set of sub-menus. And it works but shows no words or anything. So frustrating.
February 2, 2015 at 10:38 am #71364AndreyWow! Galleries (simple WordPress galleries – no outside plugins) don’t work either in Chrome (work fine in Maxthon browser). That is big – such theme parameters should have been checked before releasing the theme!
February 2, 2015 at 10:43 am #71365TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperThis is an interesting issue for me, because I can see all of the content using Chrome on your websites.
I did some searching around and found this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/22011139/google-fonts-are-not-rendering-on-google-chrome
Try using the fix provided in the answer and see if that fixes it.
@Andrey – WP Galleries definitely work, I’m actually using them on this site on some of the add-on pages. Can you link me to the page where they aren’t working so I can take a deeper look?February 2, 2015 at 10:45 am #71367AndreySorry for the third message. But same issues in IE 11 – no dark bars in header and footer, no menu and galleries don’t work.
Plus in all browsers (including Maxthon) if an image of 900px is inserted in the post and the content area is 1200 (more than enough to fully render the image, no JPEG resizing on my site), the theme makes the image slightly bigger, thus making it lose sharpness.
February 2, 2015 at 10:46 am #71368TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi Andrey,
Can you post links to all of these issues so I can see them myself?
Thanks!
February 2, 2015 at 10:47 am #71370AndreyTom, here are links to differently styled galleries: http://www.aviascope.com/2014/05/27/stroitelstvo-novogo-terminala-v-kurumoche-27-maya-2014/ and http://www.aviascope.com/2013/06/27/let-jfk-still-have-its-worldport/. None of them works in either Chrome (not the latest version though) or IE 11, but work fine in Maxthon.
February 2, 2015 at 10:52 am #71375TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperI’m seeing both galleries in Chrome and IE11 – they seem to be working fine? What exactly isn’t working? GP doesn’t do anything to galleries in WP – it allows WP to do what it wants with them.
February 2, 2015 at 10:56 am #71379AndreyWhen I click on miniatures in those galleries (in Chrome and IE) nothing happens. No gallery lightbox or whatever it’s called (the black screen with pig images carousel). I work on Win 7, but same issue on my friend’s computer (Apple).
February 2, 2015 at 11:02 am #71380TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperAh, well that’s because WordPress doesn’t include that functionality by default – you’ll need to use a plugin to do that.
This one looks like it may work: https://wordpress.org/plugins/responsive-lightbox/
February 2, 2015 at 11:04 am #71383Dee BroughtonJanice –
This is probably a long shot but the only time I’ve seen inconsistencies like you’re describing was when the domain name had only just been moved to new nameservers. They do not propagate evenly and you get some really weird appearing and disappearing things going on. Waiting a day or so solves the problem, which sounds like what happened.
February 2, 2015 at 11:04 am #71384AndreySorry, please delete the repeat comment. Does it mean that my previous theme (Felicity) had the lightbox capability in it? And what about invisible menu (both black bars in header and footer actuallu)?
February 2, 2015 at 11:08 am #71386AndreyTom, the functionality for galleries is included in Carousel feature of Jetpack. So I don’t need another plugin actually. And there’s something in the theme.
Dee, I’ve had this site for 1,5 months. So everything is fine on this side. Worked fine with the previous theme. But I decided to change it in favour of some light and similarly great looking theme like GP which comes without all those unnecessary modules.
