Hi all,
I wanted to try the new site library.
As I understood that is better to build a new site when using the site library, so I made a new website(with the same server that I already using), then I installed Generate Press theme, uploaded the GP premium 1.6.2.
And the site library not appeared, I tried to add the license key that I own and I get the following Error:
“cURL error 7: couldn\’t connect to host”So my first question is why do I get this message?
And my second question is why I don’t have the option to use the site library?August 3, 2018 at 4:07 pm #639880Tom
Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperHi there,
There’s a couple reasons why the Site Library wouldn’t show:
1. You’re using an old version (< 5.4) of PHP.
2. Your server isn’t able to communicate with the server where the sites are served from.
Since your server is allowing you to connect with generatepress.com to activate your license key, I would assume #2 is the issue.
I would contact your hosting and make sure your server is able to talk to generatepress.com and gpsites.co.

I had contact with my host and they solved the problem, I submitted my license key.
But still, I can’t see the option to choose the Site Library.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperAnd they confirmed your server can communicate with gpsites.co? It may take a couple hours for the cache to clear in order for your site to fetch the Site Library.

I didn’t ask if they can communicate with gpsites.co, but I think they do.
I used Sub-Domain to make sure that everything is the same as in my other website, and still, I don’t have the option to use Site Library.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperDid you confirm that your server is using the latest PHP version?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperCan you confirm that your server can communicate with gpsites.co then? That’s the only reason why the Library wouldn’t be showing up.
Let me know 🙂

Hello,
I have the same problem: Site Library doesn’t show.
The license key is activated. I contacted my hosting telling them I need the communication to gpsites.com.
They asked me how it should communicate, with xmlrpc?
I don’t know what answer to them.
I have PHP 7.2
