read-more option not working

I posted my first blog entry and used the "insert read more tag". The problem is, when I go to the blog it put the break in where I wanted it, but there is no longer a link to click that says "read more".

If you leave off the read more tag it autogenerates one, but it's in the wrong spot, and it runs all my paragraphs together.

Any advice?
