the menu is on the top. But after clicking on read more of a post the menu position change to the sidebar. Maybe I have changed this at the start. But I don’t want this. The menu has to be stayed at the top.

February 15, 2021 at 6:39 pm #1659739YingStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Have you used this filter
generate_navigation_location
?
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_navigation_location/Seems the navigation only appears in sidebar on single post, so I guess there’s a filter is generating the new location for single post pages.
If you use Code snippets plugin, check if the filter is added as a snippet and disable it.
If you are using child theme, check your functions.php file.
Let me know 🙂
February 16, 2021 at 3:21 am #1660035sas40Thank you for your reaction.
I ‘ve used Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation. But after setting on default. Still the same problem.
I use code snippets plugin. But after deactivating all this snippets. It still shows the navigation in the sidebar.Still I don’t understand why the navigation shows on that location. My preference doesn’t go to resolve it by changing the filter.
What I’ve done now is:
layout > header > use navigation as header
But after this, the subtitle and search where gone.So the following move I did is:
layout > primary navigation > enable search navigationAnd I’ve put the subtitle in the maintitle.
But still I want to understand where did this go wrong.

After a reaction of Ying, I have changed it.
1. Your screenshots is after I’ve done this:
layout > header > use navigation as header
But after this, the subtitle and search where gone.So the following move I did is:
layout > primary navigation > enable search navigationAnd I’ve put the subtitle in the maintitle.
But I don’t want it like that, because the subtitle is now gone. But it is the best solution.

2. My problem was/is now. The primair navigation is after read more in the side bar

February 17, 2021 at 9:46 am #1662087TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperDo you have any Header Elements in “Appearance > Elements”?
If so, perhaps one of them has the Navigation Location set in the “Site Header” tab?
