hi, i have a formatting issue. on my blog pages, the articles intros don’t align properly. Some are probably because the feature images , which i set at 500, might be 500 x 400, and another 500 x 375 … I am wondering if there is any way to apply a setting that makes every blog post summary nicely squared away isntead of kind of random like on my post pages. I am not talking about the entire blog post, just the short summaries that u scroll down the page looking at. thx much

    Hi there,

Any chance you can link us to the page in question?

You can use the private information field:

    Let me know 🙂

    Hi there,

do you use the Block Editor ?
If so you can build your own post content template using GenerateBlocks and a Block Element.

    https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-content-template/

If you do not, let us know and ill look at the alternative options.

    Hi Douglas,

Yes, it seems that you don’t have one yet.

Creating a Block Element – Content Template would be the easiest way to design blog and archive pages to your liking.

So, in the article linked by David, there’s a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZTQP_KA2xE which show how to create and use a Content Template.

There’s also templates you may use when using a Content Template as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuXPXz5

You may use any of those to start off your layout.

    Hope this clarifies.

We would need login credentials to view the link you provided.

Specifically, admin username and the password.

In any case, here’s a short screen recording I made showing how to create the template your going for: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7Ku6E9yZ

    Hope this helps!

In your admin dashboard, you’ll need to go to Appearance > Elements > Add New Element > Block.

    Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7Ku6AQOB

    Hope this helps!

ok got to this point. the dynamic link option in the drop down menu does not appear on my page / screen as it does with yours.
can u tell my why this would happen? shoudn’t we be the same here? u know this happens commonly with help from gp; different versions i suppose but a major pain in the ass; lag time between responses slows me down to a crawl. Also, u know it would be helpful if you guys actually recorded your voice here. A spoken explanation would go a long way. Just saying …
So, what to do about the fact that my screen doesn’t have that dynamic option that yours does. Once again, this is just like the last time i emailed you about yesterday. Our screens aren’t showing the same and boy that really is cheesing me off boys, i have to say.
Put yourself in my shoes; once again, like yesterday, i have time to work and same crap happens and now i am stuck and another evening fucked up for me.
    thx

What version of GenerateBlocks are you using?

The current version of GenerateBlocks is 1.5.2.

If yours is not updated, that could be the reason why.

Also, the link you provided is only accessible if we have login credentials to your site as admin. Otherwise, we wont be able to view/access it.

    Hope this clarifies!
