I am really hoping you guys can help me out.

I am trying to verify my website on Impact an affiliate platform. I need to add a verification code to the HTML header. I am not savvy in these things at all. I tried adding the code to the Header, in the Insert Headers and Footers plugin, but that didn’t work. I don’t think I am adding the code to the right place.

If this is something I need to do in my theme settings, I am going to need some 101 or dumbed down tutorial instructions :). I am trying to learn lots of stuff, so this can help build my toolbelt.

I can’t figure out if there is a way to add an image to this message either, but here is what the instructions on Impact tell me:

“To get your website verified you need to put this tag in the HTML header. Please make sure that it is the first meta tag if possible.”

    Thank you very much!!

    Hi there,

You can use the wp_head` hook with a hook element:
