the new plugin for sections will convert automatically the old site that was using the old sections module?
If not, why we should use it on an existing GP site developed with the sections module?

no the GenerateBlocks will plugin will not convert Sections into Blocks.
There is no need to replace Sections on a site - but some people may prefer to update to the bloc editor.

If I am someone who is currently using Lightweight Grid Columns, should I start to transition my content over to GenerateBlocks now or wait until it is out of beta? I didn't realize Lightweight Grid Columns wasn't being updated due to what was mentioned in this thread.

Appreciate any advice from the team and excited to check out GenerateBlocks! :)

I know I'm not really supposed to use the generateblocks on a live site yet... but I did it anyways hehehe.

Generateblocks is very intuitive and very powerful. I rebuilt all my elementor pages in a day and have now deleted the elementor and elementor pro plugins. I had to add a slider and forms plugin, but those are much lighter weight than elementor. My page load speed has improved dramatically and home page size dropped. Running much leaner now.
