Looking forward to it! I'm VERY impressed with GeneratePress and I've been at this a while... :)

Us too :)

Hi there,

it's still work in progress - mainly because of Core gutenberg advances and ensuring the code we use is future proof. A lot of plugins we have reviewed are using code that is potentially at risk of breaking changes which is what we're trying to avoid.

I am hoping we will have an alpha version within the next month.

Hello, will it be released soon? Regards Klaus

We are still working on it and hoping to have the alpha test version soon.

Thanks for your patience.

currently creating a new page - and looking at block plugins (coblocks and ultimate) - i just discovered sections (quite new gp user) and this forum thread.

As i want to build a landing page - and already played around with the block plugins - this would come in handy. Guess the sections video i just watched is quite obsolete if you use gutenberg ;) - seeing the old editor there made me search the forum.

Short: any news on the progress?

The plugin has been uploaded to WP.org for the review :)

Should be anytime soon now.

Is this the Gutenberg blocks coming as Elements to GeneratePress?

No it would be a separate plugin.

thx for the update - guess i will wait a little longer and ditch coblocks/ultimateblocks to give gp a try first. This is planned to be a block plugin that may be extended with other blocks/options right? as competition to the ones i am trying out now. Or just sections? I am asking cause i would prefer to have only one block plugin - and not one for each block.

Do you have experience how long reviewing takes?

General question regarding that (unrelated) - the search mostly gives gp usage related answers. Is there a newsletter or rss feed where i can follow gp updates/news?

Our plugin has a few advanced blocks that should be able to build just about anything. Coming very soon :)

You can like us on Facebook/Twitter for the latest updates if you'd like.

as i am not the biggest facebook, twitter user - are these your channels for updates/news?
I use rss - so if you don't have that i would create a twitter-rss ;)

Would be easier then to check the forum for info that the block plugin is released.

Great news!
Will there be announcement on main page?

I'll comment here again when it's released and ready to go :)
