    Hi,

i’ve played a bit with the settings of the Page-Header.
I noticed that if you could merge padding-top and padding-bottom (just padding:..) you are way more flexible in display content.
    Or all padding-attributes separate.

is there a way to alter the css output?

and second: is there a way to alter the background of “inside-page-header” class? Current it is set to transparent. Best via color-picker πŸ˜‰

    Hi there,

Not quite sure what you meant by merging top and bottom padding?
Are you referring to this? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/merging-the-page-header-site-header/

You should be able to set background color as well: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-header-content/#colors

If this doesn’t get you what you are looking for, are you able to provide an example of what you are trying to achieve?

    Hi there,

Not too sure what you mean by your first question – can you elaborate?

Any reason why the regular background color doesn’t work for you? You just want a different colored box on top of the background? If so, I think CSS is probably the best route there, as it’s not something everyone needs.

    Sorry, my english…
So if you use the page-header you can set an padding for top and bottom. (px or % drop down)
It would be much more flexible if you could set padding for top and bottom separately.
and of course for left and right.
So you can set the content to top, bottom, left, right, etc.
    (see pic)

Sure i can add a custom meta box and override the css settings.
But i would like to know if there is an “onboard” way to solve this.
Maybe I’ll skip something. You know your code better than I’ll ever know.

Second: The Background Color is set for the whole page-header. But sure, this is something i already solved via CSS. But i like to be flexible with colors πŸ˜‰

Let me know if something still unclear – THX! πŸ™‚

Ah yes, I agree those features would be useful and will be added at some point once the Page Header rebuild is done.

    Hi,

    Is it worthwhile to wait?
Is so an update planned in the next time?
Or should I use my own solution?

    THX!

I would add your own solution for now, as the entire add-on is being stripped down and re-built from scratch.
