Hmm what if you re-install WP?
Or maybe start a new fresh install to test?
No thanks ... I'm done.
Sounds good.
Same here, Customizer is broken on Safari 15.1. (macOS 12 Beta 9). It seems to be an issue with jquery:

In other Chrome based browsers all works well.
Yeah ... Customer Support tried to tell me it was my fault and to reinstall my site from scratch. Nope! I knew others would be along shortly to confirm. Thanks ;-)
Hi there,
i don't run the Safari 15.1 beta but i can confirm the error exists when testing on latest Safari Technology Preview 133.
However there are no errors on the latest stable release: 15.0
The error is not Theme related as its present on a clean install with core WP Themes.
And its being caused by load-scripts.php which is core WP function.
Can you test on the stable version of Safari ?
The stable version works. The error appeared only with the latest Betas of Safari (e.g. macOS 12 Dev Beta 8 and the latest Beta 9 ).
Thanks for confirming Christian.
15.0 has its bugs ( more annoying UI issues ).
But reading around 15.1 has taken bugs to the next level. Lots of issues related to Javascripts breaking on sites amongst other things. Its down for Apple to fix.
Might be worth giving some input via the Mac Feedback Assistant.
It's a pain in the a... - I've reported those bugs for weeks now and nothing happens - perhaps apple is busy with building new awesome emojis ;-)
I must admit 15.x has been a major fail. Lets hope they stop messing with UIs and fancy emojis ( lol ) and fix the basics.
Everything went downhill when Steve 2.0 went offline ...
Hi Patrick,
Customer Support tried to tell me it was my fault and to reinstall my site from scratch.
Sorry you've felt this way but I've never said it's your fault - just going through some debugging tips and process of elimination.
Looks like you were wrong to blame the theme on this reply as well even though the same thing happens in a default WP theme ;)

Glad we can identify the issue now!
I did not blame the theme, I specifically said it is incompatible with the latest version of Safari. So, if this is the new norm for Safari, does that mean you will not fix the theme to make it compatible? Is there a work-around?
If the error is presented in a clean install of a Twenty series theme then there is nothing the theme (any themes) can fix.

Just an FYI, in all 3 Safari updates released today (for Mac, iPad, iPhone), Customizer is still not working. Will report back after next update ...
