Katie
I’m attempting to change the caption font size.
I enter this – appearance – customize – additional CSS
figcaption,
.wp-block-image figcaption {
font-size: 12px;
}
I publish.
It doesn’t change.
When I go back to appearance – customize – additional CSS the code is not there.
Can you tell me please what I’m doing wrong?
I have not added any other CSSSeptember 16, 2022 at 11:20 am #2345179Ying
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
The steps are correct.
Can you try it again?
If it still doesn’t work, can you provide admin login using the private info field so we can take a look at the backend?

StaffCustomer SupportIt’s very strange.
Any chance you can disable all your plugins to test?
If it’s a live site with traffic, try creating a staging site and then do the test.
Usually, your host should offer this service for free.
Let me know!

I’ve been working on a staging site and this didn’t work – so I tried it on the live site thinking that might be the problem.
I’ll disable the plugins on the staging site and try it – tomorrow. It’s late here in France….
I’ll let you know
ThanksSeptember 16, 2022 at 1:39 pm #2345292Ying
StaffCustomer SupportGood night Katie, talk to you tomorrow 🙂

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
i see you’re using JetPack, and i notice that it adds some additional fields in the Cutomizer > Additional CSS.
Which lead me to this article:https://crunchify.com/wordpress-custom-css-value-disappears-after-activating-jetpack-plugin/
So it seems theres an issue with the JetPack plugin – i found this doc:
https://jetpack.com/support/custom-css/
Can you try disabling the
Enhance CSS customization
option.Excerpt from above doc as to where to find it:
To enable this feature, visit Jetpack → Settings → Writing in your site’s dashboard. Scroll down to the Theme Enhancements section and toggle on the Enhance CSS customization panel option.

I deactivated Jetpack on my staging site and the problem persisted.
I had not know about the CSS bit in Jetpack prior so it had not been turned on. I turned it on and the problem persisted.
I’ve had an ongoing ‘nonce’ issue with Jetpack so my first thought was to deactivate it. Sadly, it didn’t Help.
I deactivated ALL of my plugins – it didn’t solve the problem.
I’m not using Jetpack premium.September 17, 2022 at 4:23 am #2345628David
StaffCustomer SupportSee my reply above, i made some edits to it:

I disabled it but it didn’t help.
I have been working on this problem for 2 days and I only enabled that option this morning as another possible solution. It has always, prior to the last few hours, been disabled.
Also, as I said earlier, I totally deactivated the Jetpack plugin on my staging site and that did not fix it.September 17, 2022 at 6:12 am #2345702David
StaffCustomer SupportWell it has me beat.
Can you create a staging site ? then on the staging site disable ALL plugins, and see if the Additional CSS saves. You can then test for plugin conflicts.Documentation: http://docs.generatepress.com/

I did that – please see earlier reply. I deactivated ALL the plugins ALL of them. It still didn’t work.
