Is the only way to have full width content for the whole site to use Elements?

Seems to me that it should be an option in the Customizer for full width content. The only way to use the Content Padding support appears to be setting the Container Width to 2000px.

It would be nice if the "px" indicator was a drop down and you could select "px", "%" or "em".

Hi there,

Yes, the Layout Element is the only way of applying the fullwidth page container to the entire site. Or the 'hack' is to use 2000px in the Customizer > Container Width.

Not sure how % would work without implementing min/max widths and breakpoints which would get could get awfully complex. Could also lead to layout issues when components rely on a set width container.

EMs are great for responsive designs but we would need to add EM values across all sizing options to really take advantage of them.

Any chance of changing that max value to 4096?

Its only the slider thats limited to 2000px you should be able to enter any value you want in there.
