Hi guys-

I'd like to use a different template for my 404 error pages. I've been playing with Elementor and they now let you customize the 404 pages. However, I don't see a way to choose their "Elementor Canvas" Template for 404 pages like I can from the Page Attributes section of a regular wordpress page. What is the recommended way to do that?

Hi there,

I'm not very familiar with where you can use Elementor Canvas or not.

If you want to use Elementor for the 404 page then might be best to check with their support.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi Todd,

from within the Elementor Editor you can select the layout from the Cog icon and select Canvas. Alternatively i actually use a GP PageHeader (which can include Elementor shortcode content) assigned to the 404 template. This way i can maintain the rest of my theme content.

Thanks! I had no idea I could do that from within the page builder. I thought I had to tell GeneratePress to use a different template. This is much easier!
