    Hello,

I’ve two additions I’d like to make to the navigation bar.

I’m looking for a way to put the Categories into the main navigation bar so that when a category is active because a post is assigned to it, it would automatically show up as a submenu item. I’ve been able to create a custom link called Categories and then manually assign the active categories to it as submenus, but I’d like to automatically have newly created categories show up in this submenu, alphabetically sorted with “admin” as the last entry.

I’d also like to have the archives show up on the navigation bar in a similar manner, with the newest archive as the first submenu and the oldest as the at the end. After 6 months, I’d like them all to just be in a single entry.

    Is this possible?

    Hi there,

this would require custom development which is out of our scope.
You may find some answers on Stack Exchange.

Unfortunately the only plugin i am aware of that can do something similar is really out of date so can’t say if it will work:
