[Resolved] Can I use a second theme for a section of my site?

Is it possible to use a secondary theme for one section of my site?

I want to do a business profile section where businesses can manage their profiles with a free and paid version available to them. All of the plugins I’ve tried fall short so far.

1. Do you know of any plugins which would work well with Generate Press for a profile/directory theory just for a distinct section of the site?
2. Would that theme work if installed for a separate section of the site?

I see this article here:

It seems unlikely I could make that work but so far I’ve failed to find a plug in which does the job.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

I’ve never personally done it – it sounds like it could be a bit of a nightmare, but it seems there are plugins out there that do it, so it’s worth a shot.

As for directory plugins – it’s tough to find a good one. However, they should all work nicely with GeneratePress as long as they aren’t built specifically for a different theme.

Agree, it does sound like it could be a nightmare.

I wonder why it’s so hard to find a good directory plugin? That theme looks well done, but our site isn’t all about that, it’s just a segment of it. The plugins are just…not right, none of them are right.

Have you seen any that are decent?

Quick question…where can I control css for li elements in GP? Do I need to add a custom class? Seems like they would be somewhere to style in the custom settings?
