    Hi!

    It always seems to be some trouble on my site. After updating jetpack my image in section refused to stay centered. I watched it in preview and it seemed alright, but when updating the site it was placed to the left anyway. I chosed the align center icon and I updated the page a couple of times but it didn’t change. What’s wrong?

    Thank you!

    Following. I have the same issue. For the moment I’ve put my images in divs, but the folks I maintain the site for aren’t web savvy, so it’s not a long term solution.

    Update: Disabling “Lazy-loading” for images in Jetpack has solved the issue for me, for now. There is a topic in their forum on the issue.

    Thank @Bey.

    Yup Jetpack lazy loading is causing the issue.

    Thanks for sharing the solution πŸ™‚

    Hi Leo!

    So Jetpacks Enable Lazy Loading for images, outdo GPs section settings? It solved my problem to disable it, but will it effect the speed of my sight, or what is enabling Lazy Loading for images good for? As I understand from Bey it’s just a temporary solution?

    Thanks

    Personally I don’t like Jetpack overall…

    You’d have to check with their to see what that option is good for and if there is a method to remove their CSS to overwrite the align center option from WordPress.

    Let me know if this helps.

    Aha!

    As I don’t know anything about the technical stuff when making a web site, I just go along with the recommendation I see on google and Youtube, I thought jetpack was good to have. Is there anything else you would like to recommend instead?

    Thanks

    Hi Leo!

    To disable that jetpack setting just solved the issue temporarily. My image won’t stay centered in section. Do you have a suggestion how to solve it?

    Thanks

    This is still the page we are talking about?

    If so I still see Jetpack enabled that’s causing the trouble πŸ™‚

    Hi Leo!

    Yes, Jetpack is still enabled. I thought it was the Lazy Loading for images that had to be disabled. So the only option for me is to disable jetpack? I’ve done that once before, and it didn’t went well, it messed up my site. I have been thinking about make a copy of my site and delete most of my plugins and start all over. My host will charge me for that service but I think it might be worth it. I have a lot of plugins that I’ve downloaded after getting trouble on my site, I don’t even know what all of them does any longer. But however my site is loading fast from Stockholm.

    Don’t I need the functions Jetpack provides? I have smush for my images. Will I see my stats without Jetpack?

    I’ve been checking out the gallery with sites build with GP, and in the e-commerce group I think these are very nice: https://www.perfectbee.com and https://www.floralartla.com, could I get my site to look like this without knowledge in coding?

    That’s a lot of questions, hope you can bear with me.

    Thank you very much Leo

    Hmm I believe the lazy load image option is still on as this is the CSS that’s causing the trouble:

    .jetpack-lazy-images-js .jetpack-lazy-image {
        display: inline-block;
    }

    We can try overwriting it with this CSS but it certainly isn’t the best way:

    .aligncenter {
        display: block !important;
    }

    Jetpack is definitely not required to run your site πŸ™‚

    The bees site is built with Elementor and the flower site is built with Beaver builder.

    I would say that page builders might be a good option for you. BB is our usual recommendation.

    Thanks Leo!

    You are so right, the lazy load image option was enabled. It must have gone back to default after updating the plugin, because I most certainly disabled the function after contacting you about it.
    Well anyway, I deactivated Jetpack now and got the contact form 7 instead of jetpacks contact form. It seems that everything else looks as it should. My only concern now is how to get stats for my site? Is there a plugin that can show if anyone is visiting my site?

    Thanks again Leo!

    YoastSEO should be a better option πŸ™‚

    Hi Leo!

    I have Yoast, but I can’t see any stats there?

    After deactivating Jetpack my site was about 200-250 ms slower. It loads in 568 ms now, and yesterday it took it 6 sek to load after I’ve put down Jetpack. How can it be so different when doing tests under the same conditions? The performance grade is 89%, is that good enough? I have an F in Leverage browser caching. I test my site from Stockholm.

    Kind and thankful regards

    Annalena J
