Hey guys, I work for a fairly large cannabis company in Canada and I’m tasked with managing and building their main and side websites.

I’m looking at doing a new private label site for them on GeneratePress + GenerateBlocks and wanted to see what your recommendations were for an aesthetic site-wide age gate like I’ve linked below.

As for recommendations:

Considering the size of the company, they most likely have a branding manual. I highly suggest hiring a web/graphic designer to create wireframe and mockup site designs that adheres to the company’s branding guidelines.

You then try to faithfully execute the design and functionally using the theme rather than getting a pre-made template. 🙂

For Age gate specifically, the theme and any of the site library doesn’t exactly have this functionality but you can get any well-written “age gate” plugin which we can then style with custom CSS.

Hey Elvin, sorry I know this was forever ago. I’m kind of in crunch time now. I have to give some honest feedback here – I was hoping for something a bit more actionable haha..

Fully aware that we can hire a graphic designer, and know there are plugins in this space that exist. Does anyone on the GP team have any recommendations for repositories or codepens by chance? I guess you’re not really obligated to actually help anyone, although I do pay for all GP/GB products.. The GenratePress support used to be the most helpful place I swear.

Note: As much as I’d like to recommend from the list, we can’t guarantee how well they work as these are plugins Tom didn’t develop.

While I’ve tried Age gate before, that was quite a while back prior to WordPress 5.7 which is a very recent release so I’ve yet to do a comprehensive check/test on which ones are known to work with it.
