A sudden issue with archives and featured images

Site is password protected so you need to enter user and password to view the front end of the site.

Both are : pixelhappy

Two issues began yesterday.

First, the main achives page:

The title should be below the featured image. It actually displays correctly when in Customizer but not the actual page.

Second, even though I have featured image deactivated for pages and single posts, they started showing on pages and posts.

I had to hide featured images on pages and posts via css.

Without this the featured images show on single posts and pages.

This just started yesterday so really confused as to why this is happening.
