I have difficulties importing a template such as “Landing”.
After importing it to my fresh site including some demo files, quite a lot of content is missing including header images etc.Tried several templates from the site library using WP 5.5.
What am I missing? This worked like a charm in the past but I might miss a simple step.
Thanks a lot for your support
MichaelAugust 20, 2020 at 9:50 am #1411478LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
That’s strange. I just tried importing Landing without any issues.
Can you link me to the site in questions so I can see what’s missing?
Did you receive any errors during the importing process?
Let me know π

Here is the site where I just made a fresh import of Landing.
No issues during or after the import. Everything went smooth like always before…

If so can you try importing it using a parent theme instead?
Let me know π

Yes indeed!
If so can you try importing it using a parent theme instead?
Done with the parent theme activated. Same result unfortunately.
August 20, 2020 at 10:09 am #1411511LeoStaffCustomer SupportDoes that happen to all sites? Just a 404 page?
Is it’s just a staging site with fresh install, can you WP Reset it and try it again with the parent theme activated
https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/If that still doesn’t work, can you WP Reset it again and send us the dashboard access to poke around?
Thank you π

Yes looks like…
WP Reset done, parent theme activated, redone the import.
Now it did import more files and content, however, it is still not complete for some reason. My idea would be to downgrade to WP 5.4.2 and try it there.
Do you have a better approach?August 20, 2020 at 10:27 am #1411541LeoStaffCustomer SupportI don’t think the WP version is the cause here but might be worth a shot.
Can you try that first and if it still doesn’t work, reset everything and send us the dashboard login to debug?
Thank you!

Very weird and I don’t know if that helps.August 20, 2020 at 10:54 am #1411596LeoStaffCustomer SupportAbsolutely helps.
I’ll mention it to our team.
Thanks!
