This is a very small update to ensure compatibility with WordPress 5.4, which is being released at the end of the month.
This update makes some changes to classes used in the block editor, which have changed in 5.4.
- Fix: Block editor classes changed in WordPress 5.4
- Fix: More specific heading selectors in block editor
Thanks for the update!
Just wondering when we can expect GPP 1.10? Thanks.
Alpha should be happening as early as next week.
Is white label included in 1.10?
No in 1.10.0. It will likely be in 1.11.0 or 1.12.0.
Awesome. Thanks Tom.
Thanks for this update, I very happy to use generatpress premium theme.
Thanks for the update so we can test with wp 5.4
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for updates. Do you plan to increase the number of standard templates in Site Library? It would be great.
We have at least 10 coming up as soon as GenerateBlocks is released 🙂
Actually I am new here…
I have one question for all associated member..
Is generatepress support WordPress amp in premium version?
Not at this time, but we do have an experimental plugin to add compatibility: https://github.com/tomusborne/amp-for-generatepress
apparently this is a problem that happened in my block editor yesterday. thank you for the update
It would be nice if the changelog was accessible from the the “View version details” link in the WordPress Appearance tab when there’s a theme update. Currently the link goes to your theme page at WordPress.org
I agree, WordPress.org doesn’t give us the option, unfortunately.
i use Classic editor ! Is this update suitable for me ?
the default install i did with generatepress premium did not use a child theme. If I update will it affect my site negatively?
You’re good to update as long as you haven’t made any coding changes to the parent theme files.
Hey Tom – This might be a stupid question since you are all developing your own blocks. I would be very interested in your thoughts of Gutenberg blocks vs say Elementor, Beaver Builder, etc. –
From my perspective, those visual editors make design and layouts so much faster, but I’ve found myself using less and less of their Widgets to keep the speed of the site up.
I’ve also found removing all the Gutenburg CSS etc – sites load faster. You must have a better understanding of the roadmap. What are your thoughts?
Thanks again. Just an FYI. Every time I think “I don’t need a theme with these Visual editors”. I install the barebones theme(s) and within an hour I’ve dumped the idea and back with GeneratePress (-;
