[Resolved] Will GP someday change to a block theme?

Hi there,

I’ve just found out that the Twenty-Two theme contains mostly HTML files. What the heck…? So, block themes are now the new kid on the, well, block? 🙂
This is, in my humble opinion, the next ridiculous thing since the Gutenberg editor. Do you have any plans to convert the mighty Generatepress to a block theme? I really hope not. It would break my heart. 🙂

no fear of it being converted to a block based theme.
But at the same time we will support block based editing and our own special kind of FSE to users who want it 🙂

When will FSE be released?

We are paying very close attention to the development of WordPress’ FSE features, and integrating it into the theme is part of the plan for the future, however, there is no timetable yet. We want to implement the good parts of FSE once we feel like it’s ready.
