[Support request] Website Flashing White then loading

I have an issue all of a sudden my website is flashing White then loading. I cannot figure out how to fix this, not sure if its related to the generatepress theme but hoping to find some support or ideas. I am very entry level to web dev so be gentle and ELI5 please.

I’m not seeing any flash, but I am seeing the white background color of your website while the background image loads.

You might want to make the body background color closer to the yellow of your image in Customize > Colors > Body so it’s not as obvious while the image loads.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening ? It just started after installing WP super cache. I know this is a separate plugin and no one is obligated to assist. Just hopeful cause it wasn’t doing this prior.

Hmm, if it’s due to caching, it could be that WP Super Cache is loading your CSS at the bottom of the website, so as your site loads you’re seeing it with no styling for a second until the browser reaches your CSS.

There should be a setting to keep CSS at the top, or you could ditch the caching and work through this article: https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/
