Hi @Karim,

Great website.
It's a great website on so many levels.
Quick question.
How did you get the search like that in the main nav bar?

@ Tom: Dont get mad at me captain. This is my last reply, otherwise your showcase messed up.

@Jurgen: Thanks and yeah, customer text.

@Mosche: Thanks too, appreciate it:)
Adding the search bar in navigation is easy.
Download this plugin: https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-in-menus/

After you downloaded it, follow the screenshots that you can find here: https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-in-menus/screenshots/

Now you are able to put a shortcode in your menu.

Then download this plugin(or any other that does the job) : https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-search-for-woocommerce/

Use the shortcode ( [wcas-search-form] ) from the plugin, make a new menu-item with the "shortcode" field, insert the shortcode and voila, there you see it:)
I had to add some css to position the searchbar perfectly in the middle. Very easy.

I'd recommend the Ajax search plugin, since it is so easy to use and it also shows pictures of the proucts when people type in text. If it is not for a webshop, i think it's best find another searchbar plugin.

@Karim
Thanks!
The instructions were very clear.

My static HTML, non-responsive portfolio site was in desperate need of a redesign, so I figured why not future-proof it by using GeneratePress as the base :)

Hi Dick,

Looks good - thanks for sharing!

You can adjust the height of your menu items in "Customize > Layout > Primary Navigation" instead of using CSS - doing so will fix the gap between your menu items and the sub-menus :)

Thanks, Tom.

Dick

Well, here goes nothing: https://www.magicyuv.com/
My first ever site with Wordpress that is actually worth something.
It looks a bit like the GP site itself (just more lame), but that is really just a coincidence, somehow it ended up like that, sorry :-/

Looks great! I like it a lot :) Thanks for sharing!
