. . . or is that not possible, meaning creating a grid-look using a container is a global-look for the site?

You just need to edit your Home Page ( or whatever page you want ) and then add a Block such as the GenerateBlocks > Grid Block or Container Block.

Oh, good. I can add a grid block to an individual page. Perfect.

Sorry to ask this really simple question, but I have not been able to locate where I can add a block. Help !

John

First thing - are you using the Block Editor ? Or do you have the Classic Editor plugin installed ?

Block Editor.

GP Premium 2.1.2

Oh, got it.
I know how all that works.

So, I'm choosing "Design", then "Columns"?
And then I'm off to the races?

David,

My head is woosy. Remnants of Omicron from two weeks ago. Let me, please, pick this up tomorrow.

What I could not figure out is: I'm in a page. I want to create a grid. I need first, however, to create a container (at least that's what I understood). I then select a grid-type. Add images. Link a URL to each of the respective images. Then work on the layout (padding, etc.)

Did I get that right?

Thanks !

John

A method that i use is to add a Grid Block with a Single Column, i then build out and style my single column, once i am happy i the Duplicate it several times and update the content - see here:

That's a very helpful video, David. Thanks.

However, after I input "/grid", I can choose "Group". But I am not given the option of then choosing "Grid".

I'm in: a Page ... Block ... Group. How do I get to "Grid"? Or am I already in grid-mode?

Hi John,

However, after I input “/grid”, I can choose “Group”. But I am not given the option of then choosing “Grid”.

Grid should appear as David demonstrated if you have GenerateBlocks installed.

To confirm: Do you have GenerateBlocks installed and activated?

See more about GenerateBlocks here - https://generateblocks.com/

That's it, Elvin . . . I had not downloaded GenerateBlocks.

Many thanks to you and David for your patience.

John

No problem. Let us know if you need further help. :D
