The package could not be installed....

OK have figured out it needed to be added as plug in, done that, now nothing. It was successfully added as plug in and shows up in the plug in dash but does not show under appearance and clicking configure does nothing.

Hi, the issue is still not resolved..
When I said I figured it out I said I figured out the part about the plug in needing to be installed instead of the theme.

My theme is still not up and running. It does not appear under appearance and pressing configure does nothing.

Figured more out... I think your read me's and instructions are old....

I figured out I had to go to themes > go into the theme dash > search for generatepress > install done.

But im about 99% sure this is the free version even though I have paid for the premium because nowhere has it asked me for the key... little help?

With all due respect I don't believe you are reading what I am writing.
None of those instructions work.
I have slowly but surely figured it out myself and I am telling you with pretty good confidence that I think the instructions are outdated.

The free GeneratePress is required in order for the GP Premium plugin to work.

The instructions Ying provided are correct.

Make sure to install and activate the free theme first:

Then install GP Premium plugin:

The last step is to activate the module:
