[Support request] Suggestion: dark mode

This would be a nice addition to the Colors module in GP Premium instead of having to rely on a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/blackout-darkmode-widget/

One really good implementation that has open source code on GitHub is here…

It assumes the default color scheme of the OS (in Windows I have dark mode applied so the site loads in dark mode) but puts a toggle in the footer.

Another good one is https://mxb.dev/ which has a really cool toggle icon but doesn’t load default OS mode. It’s also an open source site.

It will be really cool to have a dark-mode toggle option which is coming from GeneratePress as an option.

Add me in as another user who would love to see an integrated dark mode option. None of the available wordpress plugins seem lightweight but I’ve used themes with dark mode built-in and it’s so slick.
