Sidebar on Home is not below header

Sorry, I don't understand. The background picture, image of me, headline & button are all in an element called Home Page Header of type Header. Under the Site Header tab of editing the element, Merge with Content is set to Merge so it merges with the menus.
Are you saying I should replace this entire element? Or are you saying that somehow I'm supposed to combine the existing Home Page Header with this new block element you're telling me to create?
When I create a new Block Element like you describe, with type Hook, there is no tab for Page Hero like there is in the existing Home Page Header.
I don't see where or how I edit the content in the new Block Element with type Hook?
You will need to use the block element to re-create this section highlighted here:

Then create a separate header element for the merged effect without any content as instructed here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/transparent-header-and-navigation/
You said “You will need to use the block element to re-create this section highlighted here:
https://www.screencast.com/t/8PpEa2Yo9”. Which block element are you referring to?
Hi there,
Leo provided instructions for that here:

Which part are you stuck on?
I'm not clear what he wanted me to do. It sounds like I'm supposed to create a new element block of type hook, then put the stuff in https://www.screencast.com/t/8PpEa2Yo9 into that block element.
I don't understand how to put the stuff like the background image and headline and button into the Hook block element. there's no place to insert containers or blocks when I go to appearance->elements and try to edit that element.
You would need to build it with the GenerateBlocks plugin like you did in the Page editor.
Or you could go to your page - select the Container Block and Copy ( ctrl-c ), the go to the Block Element, click inside the text block and Paste the content.
I have no option to use GenerateBlocks in Appearance -> Elements on an element of type Hook. I copied and pasted the contents of the blocks from the Home Page into the box in the elements editor and it looks like this:

and you can see the page here:
The background is gone, the button is messed up etc.
I have no option to use GenerateBlocks in Appearance -> Elements on an element of type Hook.
Make sure to create a new Block element and not Hook element as mentioned here:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/sidebar-on-home-is-not-below-header/page/2/#post-1610218
Please follow the exact steps of that instruction.
OOOHHHHH! I totally misunderstood - I thought I was supposed to create a Hook Element. That works now, thank you. And I think I've got the transparent header & navigation working, that seems pretty straightforward.
Appreciate the help - thank you. I'm sure I'll have more questions, but this is a good start.
Glad to help :)
