Sections block: progress?

Hi
I was wondering if you had any feedback on the proposed sections block and timeline. Essentially I need my users to be kept away from Elementor to a certain extent... but the power of Gutenberg is fine because it's somewhat standardise. However I could really really use the ability to have blocks in the editor which are 'full width screen' width, or if you prefer a full width layout which has blocks that are routinely bounded...I know I can have backgrounds in GP premium, but its the effect of being able to lay a bg gradient or colour behind a section rather than the whole body that I'm after?

I am really keen to avoid any third party plugins - given that GP is lightweight and fast loading...
The Sections block and a Color Palette Customizer are the blocks from GP that I am keenly looking forward to.
I really like what Grids: Layout builder for WordPress have done incorporating varying width columns and a Grid Designer that is powered by CSS grid to create advanced layouts. They also allow for content stretch to fill full width and background colors and images. Awesome!
We've actually switched it up a bit. We've been creating a lightweight block plugin that will work with any theme. This plugin includes our take on a Section block, as well as a few other blocks we think are essential to designing a website.
We're very close to an alpha release :)

The entire GeneratePress community is looking forward to the launch of Tom's Gutenberg block plugin. Because we are looking forward, we would like to give you at least a few small details: will it be a free plugin or will it also have a premium version, like the GeneratePress theme? When do you expect it to be approved in Wordpress.org? How long does it take? Do you have a beta version that we can test? Thank you and I look forward to these few details. just like everyone else using Generatepress.
It's a free plugin, but it will have a pro version at some point.
It has been approved on WP.org, so we're just doing some finishing touches before releasing a beta :)
Will the pro version be a part of the generatepress template? Or separate? If the 2nd - i would suggest a combined plan. As i am currently building a page with gp and coblocks/ultimateblock - i like the idea of all out of one hand.
Also: although some people seem to have the opinion that one part of plugin quality is the "last updated" time that the plugin repository shows - plz keep the same mindset as with gp. I am fine with security updates - but every 2 days an update for one little change is annoying. My 2 cents ;)

It will be a completely separate plugin for now.
I try to limit updates as much as possible - people are busy enough without having to update major aspects of their website every few days :)
There is a new version 3.9 for Woocommerce with an "All Products Block". "The All Products Block for the Block Editor displays your store’s products in a grid, complete with sorting and pagination. There's also an updated UI allowing you to add, remove, or move blocks within another using Inner Blocks."
With the new GP-Block-Plugin: is it possible to use it for woocommerce also?
