Search not working

Hey team,
Not sure why, but the search on my website is resulting everything on the website, products and pages alike. I have gone through and turned off every plugin and the issue persists. The only thing that seems to bring the search back is using the Wordpress twenty twenty theme. I also tried using the default Generatepress theme (not my child theme) and the issue persists.
Any ideas wht this could be happening?
Thanks
Interesting, when I use TWenty Twenty I get the usual search: https://www.mysite.com.au/?s=viola
Changing back to GP theme created this URL: https://www.mysite.com.au/?s=viola&post_type=product&dgwt_wcas=1
Hi there,
So what result are you hoping the search to show? Only the products?
As far as I know the search result should be the same no matter you are using GP or Twenty twenty, because they both use the same function for it.
Btw the 2 links are showing exactly the same page.

Hey Ying,
No matter what you put in the search field, the result is the same. Everying product (all 8008 of them) are shown. It should only the products we search for. For example, If I search for e360, I should get a Yamaha Digital Piano. It shows up in the Fibosearch window, but the actual search results show everything on the website. Please try this. Even if I put a bogus search in like random letters, I get every item on the website in the website, instead of a message indicating no such item. If I change the theme to Twenty Twenty though, the search works as it should do and always has done up until now?
You site seems using this filter for the navigation search which is a GP feature:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/generate_navigation_search_output/#woocommerce-products
I tested using the navigation search field, and the filter works fine, all the results are product.
But if you are using the default WP search, or other search plugin, this filter won't apply, so all the pages/products/posts will show in the search result page.
If I change the theme to Twenty Twenty though, the search works as it should do and always has done up until now?
Not sure what it means.. does it work as expected now or not?
Hi,
The navigation search only shows the Ajax Search correctly. The search results page itself shows 8005 products?
The only way I can get the search to work, is to replce GP with Twenty Twenty theme?
Not exactly sure if I understand the issue.
Looks like you are using a custom navigation search from a third-party plugin?
Yes, Ajax Search (now known as Fibosearch). This works in the Ajax drop down, but the actual search results page is not Ajax. It is the search results page which is wrong. Even if you add a search word that is not on the website, it presents all 8005 products?
Can you disable the plugin and test to see if the default navigation search has this issue as well?
If I disable Fibosearch, I have no search, just a shortcode in its place on the navigation? dgwt_wcas_search_box
Try activating it in the customizer first:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/navigation-search/
Please keep in mind that the Prime template is using the same custom search:
https://gpsites.co/prime/
And I don't see the issue here:
https://gpsites.co/prime/?s=t-shirt&post_type=product&dgwt_wcas=1
Therefore I don't believe this is a GP related issue.
OK, so I have temporarily removed the Fibosearch from the navigation and enabled the normal Primary Navigation Search. This kind of works, but does not list the products on the results page properly. Just 'Read more'. There is clearly an issue between GP and Fibosearch, but not sure where the issue is. Maybe I will wait for the next updates and reactivate Fibosearch then. In the meantime, is it possible to get the results to show the products?

Are you referring to the navigation search from GP? If so Ying's answer here should help:
