The search function at the top however directs to our blog page. Is it possible to stay in this FAQ page with the search function? Thank you very much for your reply. Do not hesitate to refer me to other pages if they do exist. Kind regards and have a nice day, Sofie November 29, 2022 at 4:27 am #2440762 DavidStaff Customer Support Hi there, you would need a plugin for that – may be this one ? https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-search-lite/ November 29, 2022 at 5:42 am #2440846 Sofie Hi David, Thanks for your quick reply. It also seems to search on the entire site, but perhaps I still have to change some settings. Will have a look. Kind regards, Sofie November 29, 2022 at 6:49 am #2440941 DavidStaff Customer Support So are you wanting to just search the content of the FAQ page ? A bit like CTRL + F would do in the browser ? November 29, 2022 at 7:35 am #2441021 Sofie Well, this is partly the case, except that we will also have underlying pages (with the answers to the FAQ) in which the function must search. November 29, 2022 at 7:49 am #2441146 DavidStaff Customer Support Ok, so will you be using a custom post type for the FAQ answer posts ? November 29, 2022 at 8:06 am #2441309 Sofie I wanted to use Yoast FAQ. November 29, 2022 at 8:26 am #2441346 DavidStaff Customer Support I am not familiar with Yoast FAQ – do you create a different type of page for those ? As you would need to tell WP to search for a specific post type. November 29, 2022 at 9:14 am #2441448 Sofie I wanted to create a page like https://www.telsmart.eu/veelgestelde-vragen. So an overview of all the questions on 1 page and an underlying page for each answer (one per question/answer). Do you suggest something else? November 29, 2022 at 9:55 am #2441531 DavidStaff Customer Support You will need to create a Custom Post Type (CPT) for your FAQ Pages. It will require some PHP coding – Do you have any experience of creating a CPT? November 29, 2022 at 10:13 am #2441559 Sofie Unfortunately no. There is no easy solution? November 29, 2022 at 3:12 pm #2441926 YingStaff Customer Support If you are not familiar with coding, use a plugin that helps you create CPT, eg.Custom Post Type UI.
