Hello, I read this support-topic https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/lightweight-social-icons-replacement/ . So when I have created the buttons, then I need to configure the link, that posts the current page-link to a social media account, like using the LSI plugin. I guess that can be done with dynamic data. But how do I have to configure the dynamic button data, do get the same action, that I have with LSI, or would I have to include some snippet? Regards Klaus

    Hi there,

Not sure if I fully understand. Lightweight social icons is simply using static links.

You would add the same link that’s in LSI in the Link field for buttons:
    https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/buttons-overview/#button

Let me know if I’m misunderstanding something here 🙂

No, surely you don’t misunderstand. I looked up my plugins, and I talk about something else, about another plugin: sorry my fault.

But anyways, I will adapt my question: can I replace the plugin “Scriptless Social Sharing” with dynamic data in a GP button??? And would I have to add a php snippet?

So when I look at the link that is produced by SSS-plugin for the homepage, I get: https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fhonigwerk.de%2F When I am on another page of my website, I would get another link.

Or should I better stay with “Scriptless Social Sharing”? (I guess you will tend to advice this…)

    Thank you, Klaus

    Hi there,

for now you should continue to use your social sharing plugin.
