By default, the header shows up on every page.
I want to create a new page and not have the header display.
Is this custom CSS or Elements?
Thanks in advanceAugust 1, 2019 at 8:13 am #973125David
StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
you can use the Layout Element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
Make sure you also have the Disable Elements module activated in Appearance > GeneratePress. Then the option to disable the Site Header will be available.

Hi,
Re: “Make sure you also have the Disable Elements module activated in Appearance > GeneratePress. Then the option to disable the Site Header will be available.”
Before, I had this option but it’s gone now. Can you please help? I cannot remember what I changed to make it disappear, and I very much want the header to go. The Disable Elements module is activated.
My site is at http://www.cornetsdegroot.com
Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
can you confirm, are you saying in the editor the Disable Elements are not available ?

Hi David,
Thanks for your speedy reply, that’s much appreciated!
I am not sure what you mean by the “editor”.
The module Disable Elements is activated (bold) in Appearance > GeneratePress
Under Customize, I am not seeing any such option. Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Are you saying you want the main navigation (the dark background part) of your site to go?
If so customizer has option to remove the navigation for the entire site (No Navigation):

Hi Ying,
That works! Thank you so much!!

Hi Ying,
Still not there… The big black navigation bar is gone now which is great, but so is my header and subheader. Can you help with that as well?
Thanks!

StaffCustomer SupportIn Customizer > Layout > Header – do you have the Navigation as Header enabled ? If so uncheck that

Hi David!
That option was already unchecked…
Thanks,

StaffCustomer SupportOk so i am a little confused – which is quite common for me 🙂
Can you re-enable the Navigation Location so i can take a look to see whats going onJanuary 2, 2021 at 11:02 am #1602942Rutger
Hi Davidç
Done.
What strikes me now is that the black header is much smaller now, only 3 lines instead of the full screen. Also the title is visible now, but not the subtitle.
I do want the black header to go though. Thanks again for your help!
Best,
Rutger -
