[Resolved] Poor Page Speed

Hi
I used GeneratePress (Pixel) theme for the first time based on reviews suggesting it was one of the fastest WP themes available.
I’m nearing completion and have run some speed tests which are very disappointing. Page Speed Insights – 11 Mobile, 56 Desk Top.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

I’m seeing a couple of things.

1. You’re loading a lot of resources. Try a plugin like Autoptimize to reduce that: https://generatepress.com/fastest-wordpress-theme/

2. You should enable text compression on your server – you should be able to contact your hosting support about that.

Those two things alone should help a lot, but you can go through page speed insights one by one and follow their suggestions.
