Using GP Premium/GB Pro, just built out a new site, this one with a child theme. Used the GP download for the child theme starter file. I no longer have access to the Page Layout controls (Sidebar Layout, Footer Widgets, Content Container and Disable Elements) when editing a page. Had no issue with this on other sites without a child theme. Was this caused by using a child theme? If so, how do I correct this? All of the GP modules are activated.

    Hi David,

The Child theme shouldn’t be causing that.

Can you go to Appearance > GeneratePress and see if the modules are disabled?

Hi Fernando – I agree the child theme shouldn’t have caused it… All of the GP modules are active.

I’ve disabled LiteSpeed cache, Perfmatters, Slim SEO. Do you want me to set a user profile and pass creds along? If so, let me know the access level needed.

    Thank you!

I tried logging in and opening a page on edit, and I was able to see the settings: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAuoJ9x7

Are you experiencing this issue on a specific page?

I just found the problem – for whatever reason, the layout tab is on the bottom of the screen – I’m accustomed to it on the lower right….

Here’s a shot of the dev site – the layout and LiteSpeed Options are available – but only after scrolling to the bottom of the page. How do I get these tab back inside the editor frame where they started out?

I see. Click the arrows until it goes to your preferred location. These ones: https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGu7rn27

This is some kind of strange behavior that I’ve never seen in over 25 years of software development. https://prnt.sc/ibNPohDnzQDg
