Off Canvas Panel - Content not accessible

Hi,

I have noticed that content placed in the "Off Canvas Panel" is not accessible. Meaning that if I try to go to any of the links using my keyboard, I cannot. This is a built in feature of the theme so I assume it should be accessibility ready. The primary reason I purchase and use your theme is because you care about accessibility. Are there any plans to make it so that the content can be accessible? OR is there any custom code I can add to accomplish this myself?

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi there,

It should be accessible by default.

Can you make sure you're using the latest version of the theme and plugin?

Let me know :)

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your quick reply!

I've updated the theme and the premium plugin but it still isn't working correctly. Also deactivated ALL other plugins just in case I had installed or done something to cause a conflict. Still not working.

I noticed that if I CLICK on the side menu then the links are accessible, but when using the keyboard the focus is stuck on the page elements behind the overlay.

Any other ideas?

Michelle

Strange, it looks like you used the Awaken template in the Site Library, which is accessible: https://gpsites.co/awaken

What happens if you temporarily remove the widget from the panel?

Hi Tom,

I ended up doing a re-import of the Awaken template and that has fixed it - it must be a combination of different settings that caused it to not work correctly (as it likely is in this case: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/off-canvas-focus/) but I couldn't figure it out.

Thanks,
Michelle

Glad it's working - I'll figure out what's going on and fix it in GPP 1.10 :)

Thank you Tom,

Your great support is appreciated! Absolutely LOVE your theme and knowing that it's upkeep and development is in good hands.

Michelle

Thank you! :)
