It is a bit of a learning curve - the difference between the WordPress Block Editor and Elementor.
But the GenerateBlocks plugin will provide you the same level of styling controls that Elementor does.
I made a quick video showing how to create a very similar layout as you are looking to achieve.
At the start of the video you can see my default Blog Layout - by the end of the video you will see the new content template replace that layout:
hi,
i am struggling with generatepress for example i want create a page exactly like this with right widget. please see page private information.
what i am struggling with is to create the right table with info exactly like that.
can you recommend maybe some plugins that have more ready patterns eg..
The table on the right - will this be different for each page it is displayed on?
hi,
it will be different text but layout will be same on many pages so i will just duplicate page and change text
I would start with a page with no sidebars.
Options to remove sidebars in Customizer:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout-overview/
Or on a page by page basis:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/
Then on that page, begin with a GenerateBlocks Grid Block:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/grid-overview/
That will provide the 2 columns to work with.
hello,
thx for the info that it was excatly how i thought how to do it. now can you recommended some other plugin like element or that have ready patterns?
Warm regards
The GB Pro version has a Library of patterns:
Thx for the explanation,
i have for some reason manage to change the page content width some were, this style gb-inside-container using left and right padding 60px where in the admin is this option to change please. so it will line up with the title on the page.
please see image i have attached to private info.
That padding comes from the Container Block that you added to that page, check its Spacing settings.
yeaa :)
1. another question when i look in tablet view why is the right content ending up first, how can i change that?
2. Also in the Gutenberg editor the content has become very narrow so when working on a page is not actually showing how it going to look like live, how can wider the content layout in editor.
i have added enable full screen mode and full screen mode please see image in private message.
1. Grid Containers have an Order property in Tablet and Mobile views:
https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/container-overview/#order
With a two column grid, if you want the 2nd column to go first in responsive views, then the simplest method is to set its Order to -1 ( negative one ). This will move it to first place.
2. The Editor 'tries' to reflect the front end container width. If its not close to what you expect, try refreshing the page whilst editing it.
super thx for the help with order container.
i refresh in editor is not changing is any other way to make editor containers to be more wide? as it is now is not reflect the real view of the website is very narrow.
Can you share a link to where i can see the page ?
hi,
is on a existing domain so you need add ip in your host file please see private info,
for the editor does it have some thing to do with site?
Hmmm.... would it be possible to get a temporary admin login so i can see the backend?
If so could you also provide the URL of the page you shared in the screenshot.
