Mobile Menu anchors not closing on select

Using anchors in the mobile menu for a one-page site does not close the menu when a menu option is selected. I have to click on the "X" to close the menu. Is there some way around this?

Can you double check that you are using the latest version of premium plugin 1.6.2 and free theme 2.1.3?
This functionality should be default as you can see in our site here.

Yes, using GeneratePressVersion: 2.1.3
and GP Premium 1.6.2
In the menu, I am only using the URL #anchorname as a Custom Link.

Can you try if one of them works for you?
I tried the script from Gifthub and the addition query from Tom and the menu will not close. The anchor reacts to the page position on click as it should but the menu remains open.
