Tom thanks for the answer. I understand the new distribution of customizing menus and I feel good but I still see the blog when active menu customization.

I'm not too sure what you mean? You do see the Blog section or you don't?

If you don't make sure you're viewing the main posts page (blog) in the Customizer - options will only show up if they will do something to the page you're viewing.

Earlier in the list on the left (see screenshot) the blog item was displayed. Now that does not happen or is it due to the restructuring of content you did too?

Are you viewing the blog while in the Customizer?

It will only show up if you're actually viewing the blog.

Ah, that plugin has been scrapped - it was far too unfinished.

I'll try to polish it up a bit and put it on Github.
