To test, if you set it the Posts Per Page two? Do multiple instances of the post still appear even if it’s set to two?

Yes, When I set it to 2, there are still 10 images appearing on the preview.
If I set it to 5, 11 images appear on the preview.
If I toggle inherit query from template – then only a single post appears in the preview – perhaps that is the answer?

    Hi there,

When you activate Inherit Query from Template the Query Loop will use the main query, that includes the number of posts that are set in your Dashboard > Settings > Reading.

If you’re creating a page where you want to show just the very latest post, then don’t use the inherit query, just set the params you require.

At this time, you can’t add params with the inherit query, if thats required it will need some code. Let me know

I tried to set the query loop to 1 post. It would show one post on the edit page, but then it would show 10 posts on the preview. Toggling the Inherit Query loop from the template seemed to fix it, but I guess it does not.

Any thoughts on why it is showing 10 posts instead of 1 as I entered?

Is it showing 10 posts when you have Inherit Query from Template active ?

No, when the Inherit query from template is active it does not show 10

Can you re-try disabling “Inherit query from template” with a 1 Posts per page setting? I tried it just now on your site and it seems to be working.

You are correct, that seems to work.

Thank you. I will proceed to build the rest of the home page and see how I go.

I am away today, and have meetings all week, but will fit it in as best I can. If I have any more issues, I will open a new topic.

    Thanks again.
