Ok, I thought I had the query loop set up correctly - I have added you to the site so you can log in and advise. Thank you.
Alright! Could you set up the credentials, and add them here through the Private Information field?: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
Ok, I have added you as per below. Thank you for looking at this.
Alright.
What you can do is delete these two: https://share.getcloudapp.com/X6u55p0r
Then, add a GB Query Block for both two.
For the first one, set the posts per page to 1.
For the second Query Loop Block, set the posts per page to your preferred value.
Add pagination as I've shown previously.
Set a parameter as well for the Offset. Set this offset value to 1.
Let's see how it goes from here.
Thank you. Apologies for the delay. I am trying to get the first query loop to work.
I have done this on the Flight Birds Home page - which is a draft for now. At present none of the dynamic linking seems to work, also on preview, there are multiple shots of the same photo. I have selected post type, then posts, then under search I can only see a few of the posts available.
The main issue is the client wants the Longines Honor Roll to be the featured post and I cannot see it in the search function for the image in the dynamic data. The search function only sees a limited number of posts.
I see. If you type the complete title of the Post manually, does it appear?
For reference, our team is currently in the process of making this search functionality better in an upcoming update.
No, I have tried to type in the complete title, but no luck. The search query does not see it. I have even typed in the post number that shows up when editing the post, followed by the title, but it does not see it.
That is why I am continuing to use WSP for now, though I do not understand why the post navigation does not show up. I can see it at the bottom of the post page, but on the site, it is not there, and the default navigation is, which I have in theory disabled.
Can you provide the link to the Post you want to add to the Query Loop? I'll try to see if I can replicate the issue.
You may use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
Here is the link that the client wants to see as the featured post.
I see. I can replicate the issue indeed. If you use the alpha version of the upcoming GB update, does it work? You can download the Alpha version here: https://generateblocks.com/flexbox-sizing-tabs-accordions-more/
Take note that this version is still in the testing phase.
There's also a way to do it code-wise. If you prefer this, let us know.
In the 1.7.0 GB version, it should be fixed though as mentioned here: https://github.com/tomusborne/generateblocks/issues/732
Thank you, I have uploaded the 1.7 GB version, and the search function does work.
I re-build the home page and then add the pagination at the bottom. Hopefully, I will get it correct.
You're welcome, Alexander! Hope it goes well!
There is an issue with the query loop block. When I reduce the posts per page down to 1 it maintains the 10 posts.
I have deleted the page and started over, also cleared the cache on the site. On the Flight Birds Home page, you can see the query loop block - it is a single post. When you preview the page, it displays 10 images.
Can you provide the link to where you've implemented this?
We'll take a closer look at the issue.
Sure - here is the link and the preview link.
Thanks
